This was a letter to the editor on August 29, 2009 in a Jackson , MS newspaper.
Dear Sirs: "During my last night's shift in the ER, I had the pleasure of evaluating a patient with a shiny new gold tooth, multiple elaborate tattoos, a very expensive brand of tennis shoes and a new cellular telephone equipped with her favorite R&B tune for a ringtone. Glancing over the chart, one could not help noticing her payer status: Medicaid. She smokes more than one costly pack of cigarettes every day and, somehow, still has money to buy beer. And our Congress expects me to pay for this woman's health care? Our nation's health care crisis is not a shortage of quality hospitals, doctors or nurses. It is a crisis of culture a culture in which it is perfectly acceptable to spend money on vices while refusing to take care of one's self or, heaven forbid, purchase health insurance. A culture that thinks "I can do whatever I want to because someone else will always take care of me". Life is really not that hard. Most of us reap what we sow.

How Taxes REALLY work!
The economy is a ZERO SUM GAME! What is a “zero sum game” you ask? It is when there are exactly two sides to an issue and in order for one side to gain the other must lose and equal amount of what ever is being exchanged.
In the case of TAXES you have money coming out of the economy (big business) and being “redistributed” to the beneficiaries of the TAX (government).
Pelosi is saying that she wants to TAX large corporations and use the money to build infrastructure which would in turn create jobs. What she doesn’t tell you is, that same money was already supporting jobs at the companies she wants to TAX!
In other words we can take jobs from the private sector and move them to the government.
Do you want to wake up one day to find that you must go down to the Labor Distribution Department headquarters with your child to apply for a license to be assigned a job? That’s Pelosi’s “New World Order”. The government will tell you what job you can do for the rest of your life. They will set your pay, (you won’t need much since everything will be free anyway right?) you will have no say over what career path you choose.
You CAN NOT continue to TAX people or companies to pay for new social services. But this congress, this administration just doesn’t seem to understand that! Every day, it seems, they come up with a new TAX for something. And we already are TRILLIONS in the red on the current bloated state of social programs the Federal Government was NEVER authorized to implement by our Constitution anyway!
Hang in there America 2012 is coming and it MOST DEFINTELY will be the end of the world (for the liberals)!
